RETURNS 

Behind the Door want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, so please make sure you choose your purchase carefully as refunds will not be issued for a change of mind or if you simply make the wrong decision.

 

Please note that Behind the Door does not generally exchange items if you change your mind.

 

If approved* for an exchange by Behind the Door, you are required to pay for return postage to Behind the Door HQ. Your order must be returned unused and in original packaging. Items must be returned to Behind the Door in original box you have received order in. Please note that BTD will not be held accountable for any item that is lost in the mail, it is your responsibility when you return the item to Behind the Door.

 

The items you wish to exchange must be for equal or higher value only. Once received by Behind the Door, your “new order” will be placed in the queue. You are required to pay for postage as per normal. Please refer to SHIPPING for further information.

 

*To enquire on an exchange, please contact with the following:

  • Why you are seeking to exchange your item
  • A photograph of the items you have received
  • "Proof of purchase" i.e. order number 

 

FAULTS 

All items are quality checked before accepted for packaging. Occasionally, there may be a fault we're unaware of. Please note that wear and tear in the course of normal use is not considered a fault. Please refer to the item listing for further information as personal preference is NOT considered a fault.

 

All Behind the Door jewellery and accessories should be handled with care. They should not be immersed in water, sprayed with any product or left out in the sun.

 

Jewellery or accessories breaking from mishandling is not considered a fault (i.e. dropping or bumping against hard surfaces). Items will not be replaced if tarnishing of the plating occurs as this is due to general wear and tear and exposure to perfumes, moisturizers and heat from the body over a certain period of time.

 

Behind the Door advises customers of their duty of care for each piece as detailed on the Care Card included within each purchase. 

 

Where applicable we will meet our obligation to provide a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law. The remedy may be a repair, replacement or refund. If returning a product for a refund, you must ensure this is done within 14 days from receipt of product. 

 

Behind the Door reserves the right to deny an exchange or credit if the faulty piece returned does not meet our return policy requirements and it is deemed that care instructions were not followed.

 

To be eligible for a repair, exchange or refund of a faulty item please contact Behind the Door with the following: 

  • A photograph of the item with a description of the fault
  • "Proof of purchase" i.e. order number
  • Your preference of repair, exchange or refund
    • This will be at the discretion of Behind the Door

 

SALE ITEMS

Please note the purchase of any sale item is final and cannot be returned / exchanged unless deemed faulty.

The use of Behind the Door products on children should always be under supervision. Behind the Door can not be held responsible for any misuse of our products.
